Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

We were back at Half Moon Cay (Little Salvadore Island) today, arriving at 10:00 and departing at 5:00. Unlike our last, shorter visit, Pam & I both went ashore today.
We left the ship early. We recognized that this would make the trip ashore crowded, with many of yesterday's onboarded passengers wanting to make the most of the first day of their Caribbean vacation. I do not like tendering/ferrying ashore; however, I remind myself that it is a short-lived variant of the cattle car atmosphere of commercial airline travel. You put up with it to get where you want to go.
The trip to the dock was quick. Getting ashore early enabled us to stake out a comfortable little pied-a-terre at one end of the beach, a bit removed from most of the beach-goers.
This guy just stood in the water looking very Zen.
Although we did not have masks and snorkels, we saw several fish and even a sea turtle. I tried to get their pictures with mixed results, where "mixed " is not all bad.

Almost all the snorkelers chased the fish and turtle around, trying to get a good view. Pam and I just stood in the water and waited for the marine life to come to us.
We had a good time in the water and chillin' on the beach. Also, it's good that I didn't injure anyone swinging around my selfie stick to take this picture.
As for the pirate ship, Pam wandered over to check it out and discovered it was the walls of an open-air bar.
We returned aboard Eurodam at about 1:30. We did so to maximize our enjoyment of the day by not being caught in a stampede of hundreds of people coming off the beach as the ship's departure time approached. Even so, our fairy was heavily packed. We were not the only ones to have this idea.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing. To clarify, this relaxing was on board the ship, differentiating it from the relaxing we had done earlier on the beach. They have quite separate ways of doing nearly nothing of socially redeeming significance.

We had dinner in the main dining room and then wandered around the ship to pass the time before the 9:00 show on the main stage. When the performers started their second song and dance number, we realized two things. We had seen the show before, but did not immediately recognize it because we had arrived late. Two, we didn't like the show. Fortunately, we were in balcony seats on an aisle. After sticking it out for two more numbers to confirm our previous assessment of the show, we quietly slipped out of the theater and headed to our stateroom.
